WoW Classic Fresh Phase 2: World Bosses

Lord Kazzak and Azuregos Mechanics

Phase 2 of Classic Fresh: 20th Anniversary Edition is being released on January 9th, and with it, we’re getting two new world bosses: Lord Kazzak, located in the Blasted Lands, and Azuregos, found patrolling the woods of Azshara.

Defeating Lord Kazzak requires coordination, as players have only 3 minutes before he enrages, unleashing rapid shadow bolts.
If a player dies to Lord Kazzak, Capture Soul will immediately heal him for 70,000 HP, so your party must be aware of the mechanics he brings to the fight.
Players marked with the Twisted Reflection debuff will start glowing green and must be dispelled quickly.
Casters should carefully monitor their mana, as Lord Kazzak’s Mark of Kazzak drains it. If a marked player runs out of mana, they will explode, making it critical to dispel this debuff promptly.

Azuregos will frequently reset aggro, so it’s crucial to ensure your tank has established aggro before continuing with DPS.
When Azuregos casts Teleport, all players within 30 yards will be teleported to his location, resetting aggro for those players.
Players should avoid his Cleave and Frost Breath by positioning to the sides or behind the boss.
Manastorm will drain mana and deal damage in an area, so dodging it should be a priority if you’re caught in it. He will also cast Magic Reflection, reflecting all harmful spells for 10 seconds.

Where to find Lord Kazzak

Lord Kazzak is a world boss found in the Blasted Lands, at the southwestern edge in an area named the Tainted Scar.
The exact spawn timer of Lord Kazzak is unclear; sometimes, it takes days before he respawns. This delay only adds to the value of his loot. He can only be engaged by one party at a time, which often makes his loot highly contested.

Where to find Azuregos

Azuregos is a world boss found in the southern part of Azshara. Much like Lord Kazzak, his respawn timer is unclear, and it can take days before you encounter him again. While his spawn location remains fixed, he frequently patrols the woods and is often spotted on the move. Azuregos is highly resistant to frost damage and totally immune to any source of arcane damage.
